IPRN Poster Presentation at the 4th Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan,

5th to 8th February 2015 - Goa

 

Archana Dayal, Vice-President of the Research Education and Outreach working group and a Research Fellow at the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) presented a poster on IPRN at the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan (BVS), Goa. BVS is a flagship programme of VijnanaBharati and has been organised previously at Bhopal (2007), Indore (2009) and Jalandhar (2012). The 4th BVS and Expo 2015 was jointly organised at Goa by VijnanaBharati, Government of Goa and Goa University. It provided a common platform for scientists, artisans, technocrats, traditional practitioners, innovators, students and common people.

 

Archana got a wonderful opportunity to interact and introduced IPRN to the general public. She was delighted by the interest and excitement shown by the people especially young kids! Queries and interest varied from what are the polar regions, their importance, if there was life in Antarctica, how to get to Antarctica/Arctic and Archana’s personal experience of her Expedition to Antarctica!
