3rd Ex-com Meeting Minutes (July 2014)
1] IPRN will have its annual elections in the month of July, and the new ex-com will be in place on 1st August 2014. A detail notification about new Ex-com and elections will be available at the end of this week.
2] Regarding last year's activities, 136 new members have been added to IPRN. Also, we have successfully conducted a panel discussion at Ocean Acidification workshop.
3] In proposed activities, we all are agreed on conducting a panel discussion at ISAES-2015, Goa.
4] Every ex-com member would deliver a lecture/presentation in school/college/university regarding IPRN activities and polar research. It would be repeated in every 3 months period. To conduct this activity, all Ex-com members would be putting their efforts to make a standard presentation for school kids/college students/university scholars.
5] We will have a field photography competition, and the selected photographs will be displayed on IPRN website. A virtual certificate for winners is also planned.

Congratulations to IPRN ex-com member Shridhar Jawak for winning the joint ISPRS student consortium competition. He will receive free DMCii imagery to aid ongoing remote sensing projects.
Career workshop on Polar Ocean Acidification for Early Career Scientists on 20th September 2013 at Laboratory of Integrative Taxonomy and Microbial Ecology, Department of Biological Sciences, IISER-Kolkata.
Past Event 2012
In March of this year(2012) IPRN members mostly from NCAOR [Goa, India] participated in a major conference on ‘International Conference on Science and Geopolitics of Arctic and Antarctic’ in New Delhi, India and spread the news about IPRN.
IPRN members also actively participated in major international polar conferences of 2012 including the IPY (Montreal) and SCAR [Portland].

IPRN member Shridhar Jawak organized a talk in a college in Goa to celebrate Antarctic Day in 2011.
